The Process

Being staircase manufacturers we pride ourselves on the  quality of our workmanship.

The design and construction of a staircase generally involves 5 steps –

  • On-site measurements
  • Staircase components selection and quotation
  • Staircase design and layout
  • Manufacture
  • Installation

Site measurements

We go on a site visit and take measurements of the area where the staircase will be located.

Component selection & quote

If the client does not have drawings some methods of picking a design may rely on the client either looking at our past work or looking through brochures & magazines and choosing certain aspects of designs that would compliment the style of your home. We would guide you through some options and help you make a decision. We would then send you a detailed quote.

Staircase design & layout

We would then make up detailed drawings of the agreed design and source any special materials required.

The manufacturing process will then start in our workshop, all works on the wood, sealing etc will be done then. Depending on the materials used here is a general lead time guide.

  • MDF staircases – 1 to 2 weeks
  • Solid Maple / Oak staircases – 3 to 4 weeks
  • Solid Hardwood staircases – 4 to 5 weeks
  • Curved timber staircases – 6 to 8 weeks

When your new staircase is ready our installers will deliver and assemble the staircase in your home. We pride ourselves doing a clean and  tidy job and will not leave the site until the work has being carried to your satisfaction.
